Roland and Betty Beck, pictured here at a graduation in the 1950’s, were among the original professors at Grand Canyon College in 1949. Roland Beck was later head of the Education Department and Betty Beck was later head of the Humanities Department. They taught at Grand Canyon College for over 20 years.

In 1989, friends and former students established the Roland L. Beck and Betty L. Beck Scholarship Endowment Fund in their honor.
