GoTEN is dedicated to empowering refugee youth in Phoenix, Arizona, through education and leadership development. Our latest initiative focuses on helping refugees aged 18-21 who have not completed high school in their home countries. By providing targeted GED preparation classes, we aim to address the educational gaps that limit these young adults’ employment opportunities and hinder their integration into the community. This program is structured to accommodate the unique challenges refugees face, such as balancing part-time work and family responsibilities while pursuing their education.
Leveraging our existing infrastructure and a team of retired educators to control costs, GoTEN offers an effective solution for these vulnerable youth. Through the program, participants will not only earn their GED, equivalent to a high school diploma, but also receive career guidance to improve their economic stability and integration into society. In addition to the academic focus, the initiative connects refugee youth with Christian mentors, fostering spiritual growth and discipleship relationships.
With the support of Canyon Institute, GoTEN seeks to create lasting impacts on the lives of refugee youth and their communities, helping to build a more inclusive and prosperous society.
