Canyon Institute supports charity in its most basic meaning of agape love of God and love of man. We advocate a loving kindness toward all others without regard for race, religion, gender, social status or disabilities. We collaborate with other people in an effort to relieve human suffering and fulfill needs without making distinction of those being served. Canyon Institute adheres to the Bible verse in Mark 12:31 that states “love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.” (NIV) We believe that to show love for our neighbor is a natural action of growth and maturity in our love of God.
We support those who demonstrate Christ’s love through the provision of food, shelter, clothing and other basic needs to those who are less fortunate. Christ says in Luke 9:41 “I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.” Partnering with other charitable organizations gives Canyon Institute the opportunity to further the Kingdom of God locally and globally by ministering to the needs of “the least of these.”
